Instacart Basket Data Analysis
In this case study, I analyzed open-source Instacart grocery order data using Python to uncover patterns in when customers shop, what they buy, and how different customer segments behave. By engineering new features such as time-based flags, price ranges, and loyalty indicators, I translated raw transaction data into actionable insights. The project focuses on identifying peak and off-peak periods, spending patterns, popular departments, and opportunities for targeted marketing and promotion strategies.
